History

After experiencing the quality and variety of beers overseas, Emerson's was launched in 1992 with the creation of London Porter at 4 Grange St in Dunedin by Richard Emerson, a brewer dedicated to creating a craft beer with style, aroma, flavour and finish with their own distinctive balance and memorability.  Emerson's was awarded as the Champion NZ Brewery at the 2009 Brewers Guild of NZ Awards.

Tasting Notes

Bookbinder has a sweet, perfumy, malt and hop aroma with a soft, malty, fruit and vinous palate that is both full flavoured and refreshing with a long, gently drying finish.

Food Match Notes

Bookbinder's sweet maltiness pairs well with red meats and rich sauces and gravies, and is also a fantastic accompaniment to strong cheeses.
